I still lack design smarts, but please take a look at www.turnerpchelp.com , and post your comments and opinions. I really need this. Per my testing with, IE7, IE6, FireFox 2, Opera, Safari and Flock, this is my most cross-platform site yet. Questions I have though, are: Are the colors appealing?, Is it readable? Does it work on your computer? Thanks all.

Thanks for sharing Carey, here's some thoughts;
My biggest suggestion would be to give the main body text some space, especially off the left and right edges of your box. I'd say a good 20px or more from the edges. Ideally you want to keep your line length somewhere around 60-80 characters (including spaces) and you're averaging 100+. So bringing the text off the edges is going to help your site visually and also make it easier to read.
I'd also think about labeling your links you have on the right. Let people know what those are, and why you're linking them.
Personally seeing as your navigation tabs are designed to have a edge below them, I'd have a different color for your header area and then after your tabs, make a new color, so the edge bottom on your nav makes a bit more sense, and so they're not just floating there.
I think your colors are working pretty well together, but you could add another color or two if you wanted, to help the user's eye move around the site a bit more.

That's looking a lot better IMO Carey. Really my biggest suggestion at this point is that you could probably bring the size of your wordmark down in the header some, so it can breathe in there as well. But I think the extra spacing in around your text is helping a lot and I like the color combos you have going on too. Good improvements.
And congrats on getting indexed. Now just wait until you get obsessed with SEO.

| Hi, I think the site is looking good  . Although i would agree with Dustin the dropshadow on the header text is a bit too much prehaps if it was a lighter grey it would look better and if the header text was a bit smaller. also i am usign ie7 and the grey boxes sit slightly outside the main page frame. Good to hear your ranked in google remember to get thos page links. One thing mind you i dont want to drone on about SEO is your html is not visible so the search engines will not be pick up on the text in your website. Also noticed that your links dont display what page you are on. This is also vital for search engine crawlers you could do this for example i take it your using asp.net you could use some code to mask the link it the address bar. Then attach a sitemap to your website with a robot text file. It depends on how you're serving up your site. If your site code is being generated by the server when a page is requested, the search engines don't index that, at least not easily. If your full html files are actually residing on your server though, they crawl that. Then the question becomes about if you have code getting in their way.
