| Hi everyone, I have just completed my first web site using Microsoft expression web. I have had some really good help from Dustin. Thank you Dustin. I like you to take a look at the site and tell me what you think. You will have to type in the full address in the IE bar at the top of your screen to access the site because the search engines have not yet picked the site up. The address is : WWW.HONDAH100AOWNERSCLUB.CO.UK I realize that improvements can be made. But I am pleased with the progress I have made so far. Regards to everyone and I thank you in advance for any comments you make. PS, I HAVE SINCE THIS POST MADE SOME IMPROVEMENTS TO MY SITE, PLEASE TAKE A LOOK AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK.

First, congrats on getting your first site up Ken, and thanks for sharing it.
Two things jump out at me right away.
1 - On your interior pages the red header ends at about the top of the home button, but on the home page it runs quite longer. This is lot of dead space and breaks consistency.
2 - I would recommend not having your text in your main column be center justified. Large blocks of centered text are uncomfortable to read. Your intro paragraph also seems like it could be at least 3 paragraphs, which will also help readability for you.
Also, on that note, on the contact page, it looks like you're trying to space your text off the edge of columns meeting, which is good, however, you're doing it with just spaces, which will give you unpredictable results. Unfortunately on the web you can't rely on font placements being the same for everyone. To get the text in from the edges you could do a few things, but the easiest would probably be to suggest putting another div inside of your RIGHTCOLUMN div, and put your text inside of this new div. At that point you could make the nested div smaller than RIGHTCOLUMN and give it a bit of margin on all sides. This will keep all of your text off the edges for everyone and you don't have to add a lot of unnecessary spaces.
The gallery link wasn't working for me earlier, but it is now. Hmmm. Anyway. Right now you're using two different font sizes and families for your text on the gallery page. Work to keep those consistent. Personally the sans-serf type is working better for your site.
On your membership page, you might want to put a table on that page to keep your data formatted well.
Let me know if you have any questions. Congratulations again on getting your first site up, its a good feeling, and good luck with growing your site.

My wife has given birth to our twins, so I'm still going to be spotty around here. It never seems to correct itself does it? I'm sorry, I'm trying.

| Hi again, Thank's for sorting out my editing problem, job done thank you, I would like to address your comment, i wil number them. 1. I have had a look at the red headers and they all appear to be the same size on my browser IE 7. So unless I'm missing the point, I don't know. they are all 200px high. 2. I can do something about the text in my main column. I did not know what might look best. So thank you for that point. 3. Spacing of my text on the Contact page, I can also do something about that too. 4. Also I take your point about useing diffrent fonts on the same page, thank you for that tip. 5. As for the Gallery link not working. you were right, When your on the Part Numbers page it will not go to the gallery when the Gallery link button is clicked, but on all the other pages it does. That I can't understand, because on my home copy when I've checked the link path it appears to be right. It goes to Gallery htm. it also works ok on my home copy. I have tried uploading the page again and it still does not work. I don't know what to do about that problem now, any suggestions? 5. On the membership page you suggested putting a table on the page tokeep the data formatted well. I don't know what you had in mind, I'm not sure how to do that and what it should look like and how it would work, can you explain it a different way please. 6. I have already started to design a new and improved site. Problem is, I don't know if you can help me with this one. I have trouble putting Google adds on my pages, I am allowed three adds per page, I don't seem to be able to find the rules for inserting the adds. Sometimes they will go in ok, but more often than not, I get, IE cannot diplay this add. I have tried inserting one add to a layers, I have made the layers bigger than the size of the add, still no joy. I have tried stacking them one on top of the other in the right column within one layer. As you can see on my Home page I have had some success two in the right column and one in the left column. I just can't get three on the right side. I wonder if you can help me there. 7. Any idea how long it might be before the browsers or search engines take to pick up on my site? because I can only access it by typing the addess in the Explorer bar at the top of the page. That's it for now. Quite a bit to be going on with. It's fine be me if you deal with these problems when you can find the time, I am not going anywhere. Thank's again. Regards Neil PS I can copy the page " Part numbers " into this post if you need to look at it regarding the link to Gallery
