The final version of ED removed pretty much all raster graphic support for version one unfortunately.

I can't think right now what program MS had bought to base ED on, but I think because a lot of people were upset about the stripped down version, they were giving away the previous software for free. I'll have to look and let you know about that.

Cut by Color?

In Microsoft Photodraw, there was a way to cut or erase by color. You could set the sensitivity of the tool and the hardness/softness of the tool and then click in an area that had the same or close to the same color, and it would be selected, and then you could click finish and that area would become transparent. Is there any way to do anything like this with Design?

For example, the project I'm currently working on:

The white parts are actually white, because they're imported PNG files. I want to make them transparent so I can put another image behind them:

Anyone have any ideas/help?

Thanks in advance.
