Ideally the easiest thing for you to do would be to declare all three columns by percentages, but of course, that doesn't guarantee you 150px size at all. That's a tricky layout issue actually. Is it possible to see you page and I may be able to suggest a means as to approach it?

RE: Having problem with layers.

Alan, this is not fancy but it will do what you are looking for. You can go with a fancier menu if you want and change the colors by making changes in the style sheet.

http://www.genealogy-web-creations.com/css-layouts/mabry-mill/mabry-mill.html

Check the sidebar on this page for additional menu resources. http://www.genealogy-web-creations.com/css-layouts/

pat

Having problem with layers.

Ok, so I've watched the videos on layers here, but am still having problems getting them to work correctly. I know how I can make tables work, but I was wanting to try something new this time. Here's what I'm wanting to do. I'm wanting a layout with a header, a right column, a center body, a left column, and a footer. I finally got the basic layout to work with layers but am now having problems with the sizing. I basically want the left and right columns to stay the same size, but I want the center column, the header, and the footer all to stretch or shrink as the page is resized. Also I have noticed that the way I have the page set up now, if i shrink the page so much the center column pops below the left column and on top of the footer. How can I can I fix this, If I can at all, with Layers. I know with table I could just set the right and left columns width to 150 pixels, the footer and header's to 100% and then the middle column to a certain percent. But as far as I can tell, you can not use percentage as a measurement for a layers width.

Thanks in advanced for all the help and kudos on the videos!

Alan
