| Since I am starting from ground zero this may be a funny question for you: Does it matter what screen size you use when you develop the website? I am doing a 1024X726 but I noticed the tutorial used 800 x 600.

Yes, accounting for screen size is very important. When you design for the web, you are designing for a lowest common screen size that you want to support. For years that standard was 800*600, but it has pretty safely moved to 1024*768 these days.
However, keep in mind that if you design for that screen size, the browser takes up some of that space. When I was designing for a 800*600 page, I used to actually do my layouts for a 740*480 space. 960*640 is what I use to design for 1024*768 now.

My wife has given birth to our twins, so I'm still going to be spotty around here. It never seems to correct itself does it? I'm sorry, I'm trying.
