All my divs stack on top of each other and do not line up down the page as the vid suggests they should am I missing something here?
Is there a default setting that I need to change.

divs insert at absolute 100x100 but they all stack up in the left corner.
Changing the float doesn't do anything on WE3 nor in browsers.

got coffee?

Are you creating the Divs inside a main div? and are you making sure you are creating the div in side the parent div and not the newly created child? Are the Divs set to relative or absolute? They should be relative. As a newbie myself that is about as much help as I can think of at the moment, sorry if it doesn't help much.
