The Renegade Sprint Car Series website is my first attempt at creating an ASP.net site using Expression Web. If you care to take a look, any feedback or critique will be appreciated. We have only had a couple of pre-season races as of this posting, so there isn't a lot of database content to display yet, but results from those two races are available from the Overall Stats/Weekly Results menu.Thanks Dustin, for providing some really nice tutorials. I look forward to viewing more and participating in your forum. Ed

This is a pretty good first site ECF. It's organized and pretty easy to read. I'd really just keep working on the details now, as you've got the structure down.
A few comments for you;
1 - I'd put some more padding on your text columns, to get the text off the edges some more.
2 - Try to be consistent with how you align type. There are a couple of instances where you have your paragraphs centered. I'd recommend keeping most of your text left justified.
3 - The navigation seems to have an extra state when you're hovered around it. I'm not really sure what that is at the moment. Is that intentional, to have it turn red when you're inside the navigation, but not on a menu button?

My wife has given birth to our twins, so I'm still going to be spotty around here. It never seems to correct itself does it? I'm sorry, I'm trying.

Thanks for taking a look Dustin, and I appreciate the comments. Regarding the extra space around the menu butons, that seems to be part of the ASP.net menu control and I haven't been able to get rid of it yet. Must have spent a couple of hours on that so far, but will post a note here if I ever figure it out.I'll also consider your other suggestions. Thanks again for the critique. Ed

Hi Regina, thanks for taking a look at the site. Since creating that one, I've been working on a new version based on the Microsoft Club Starter Kit which you can view here. Once I work out a few more bugs, I think we'll make this new one the live site and retire the one in my original post.Ed (the site link above is now our live site and is based on The Club Starter Kit) High Desert Racing

Sorry to bring back an old post, but I was reviewing the logs on www.RenegadeSprints.org, the site referenced here, and noticed that someone had reached the site from this thread. I should point out that I abandoned the Club Starter Kit over a year ago and now use DNN as the foundation. Since I don't have the time or knowledge to write DOT NET code from scratch, I have found DotNetNuke a great platform for creating websites.
